Coronavirus Policies

Effective Tuesday, June 2nd, we are seeing patients in only in our Hickory office as well as offering Telemedicine appointments.  We have not announced a date to reopen Morganton.  Our Taylorsville office has permanently closed.

To ensure the safety of our patients and our staff, Carolina Foot & Ankle is opening with the following safety precautions in place:

If you have:

A fever (without a red, hot, swollen limb)

         A cough

         Shortness of breath

Had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19

Had a confirmed case of COVID-19

We will ask you to reschedule your appointment.  You will be asked these questions on the phone when you schedule and again when you arrive at the office.

We are REQUIRING all patients to arrive wearing face coverings. If you do not have a mask at home, a bandana or scarf is acceptable as long as your face is remains covered for the entire duration of your visit.  Read more about making your own cloth face coverings at the CDC’s web site: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html. If you arrive without a face covering we will likely reschedule your appointment to a later date.

We will be taking your temperature when you arrive to our office.  If you have a fever, we may ask you to reschedule.

Unless a caregiver is required, we ask that patients come to their appointments alone and any visitor wait in the car.  Please note that if a caregiver is required to attend a visit with a patient, they must also have appropriate face coverings, have their temperature taken, and answer screening questions.

Hand sanitizer will be available at various places in our office and you will be asked to use it upon arrival.

We are implementing social distancing in our office.  That means that after check in, you may be asked to wait in your car instead of the waiting area and we will call your cell phone when a room is ready for you.  You will also find markings on our floors to remind you of where to stand when waiting.

We request whenever possible that you complete your forms before arriving at our office.

Although cleanliness has always been a priority, we are taking extra steps to make sure that all surfaces are thoroughly disinfected including any shared spaces such as our waiting area.

We look forward to seeing you!

Stay safe & healthy,

The Physicians & Staff of Carolina Foot & Ankle
